Founder & Medical Director
AHPRA registration: MED0001217081
Dr Michael Kirk is an AHPRA-registered doctor with a background in public health and medical services governance in Central Queensland, whose ongoing work in general practice keeps whole-patient safety at the centre of his approach. At Hillview he is the only injector: the doctor you consult is the doctor who treats you. He founded Hillview on a simple conviction: that cosmetic treatment is medicine, and deserves the same rigour, honesty and duty of care as any other part of your health.
His approach is deliberately conservative and unhurried — he'd always rather do a little less and keep you looking like yourself, and if a treatment isn't right for you, he'll say so.
Hillview Aesthetics was founded on a simple belief: cosmetic treatment is medicine, and it deserves the same care, honesty and clinical standards as any other part of your health.
Every treatment at Hillview is performed by Dr Kirk himself, following a proper consultation and assessment — the doctor who assesses you is the doctor who treats you. We're conservative by nature — we'd always rather do a little less and keep you looking like you.
If a treatment isn't right for you, we'll tell you. That honesty is the whole point.
Your consultation, your plan and your treatment are carried out by the same doctor — no hand-off between assessment and treatment, and no decision made by someone you haven't met.
Proper consultation, record-keeping, governance and follow-up — the standards of a medical clinic, not a beauty service that happens to use needles.
Assessment comes first, and part of that is being willing to say no — when the honest answer is "not yet," or "not this," or "not at all."
Unhurried, doctor-led cosmetic medicine right here in Central Queensland — the same standards, the same rigour, without the travel.
Yes. A consultation and assessment with our practitioner is required before any treatment, so we can confirm what's suitable and safe for you. It's also your chance to ask anything, with no obligation to proceed.
That's exactly what we work to avoid. Our approach is deliberately conservative and tailored to your features, with the goal of a refreshed, natural result that still looks like you.
It varies by individual and treatment. Many people return to their day fairly quickly, though some temporary effects can occur. We'll explain what to expect for your specific plan during your consultation.
All medical procedures carry some risk. Provided by a registered medical practitioner after a proper assessment, cosmetic treatments are common, but they are not without risk — and the potential benefits and risks for you personally will be discussed openly before you decide anything.
Australian regulations limit how clinics can advertise prescription treatments to the public. Rather than skirt those rules, we discuss specific products, your suitability and pricing privately during your consultation — where we can give you accurate, individual advice.
Call us or send an enquiry, and we'll be in touch to arrange a time that suits you.
